In This New Year…

We are nearly at the end of the first month in a new year. Perhaps one of your desires for this new year is to more effectively pray for your daughter. Sometimes we don’t spend much time in prayer because we don’t really know how to pray–specifically. God has given Stormie O’Martian a wonderful ministry teaching us how to pray for our loved ones, our nation, our world, and ourselves. She emphasizes praying Scripture which is paramount in importance. God promises that, when His word goes forth, it will accomplish much. It will not “return unto Him void.”

The book The Power of a Praying Parent is a wonderful tool to help you develop your desire to pray and see God work in the lives of your loved ones. See the “Suggested Resources” section of this website.

A quote from one of Ms. O’Martian’s books which has stuck with me is this: “Without our prayers appropriating God’s power, our lives are left up to chance with sometimes disastrous results.” I know I don’t want my life left up to chance, nor my loved ones’, and I’m sure you don’t either.

You will be encouraged by this book. The author has written several others as well. One I am using now is called The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children. May God bless and “grow you (us!)” in our ministry of prayer for our loved ones.

It’s nearly impossible to find educated people about this topic,
but you sound like you know what you’re talking
    about! Thanks
